Store / Backdoor Weapon Snatch [ESX]

Snatch a weapon from behind, if you can win the skill check

Put your roleplay robberies and takedowns into a short, risky mini-game. Sneak up behind an armed player, run /backdoorsnatch, and both of you get a skill check. If the attacker passes and the defender fails, the weapon changes hands.

Features

  • Two-sided skill check. The attacker and the defender both get a WASD skill check, so every snatch is a contest.
  • Behind-the-target check. You have to be close and facing the same direction as your target, so it can't be done head-on.
  • Real item transfer. The weapon, with its metadata and slot, moves from the target to the attacker.
  • Cooldown. Each attempt starts a cooldown (1 hour by default) to stop spam.
  • Animations and notifications. Grapple animations for both players, plus clear success, failure and defense messages.
  • Command only. /backdoorsnatch has no keybind, so it never conflicts with other binds. It also shows up in chat autocomplete.
  • Works with ox_inventory or the ESX loadout.
  • Escrow protected. Code is locked with Cfx.re asset escrow. config.lua is left open.

Requirements

  • ESX (es_extended)
  • ox_lib
  • ox_inventory (optional)
